Why is the beneficial for my child to learn?
Learning coding empowers students to do things that some people wouldn't be able to do otherwise. These things include hand-crafting your own websites, becoming a career coder or starting a technology business. Code.org is one of the main websites we will be using over January-February to learn the basics of coding. The website has courses created specifically to meet the needs of students at different grade levels and encourages students to use skills that can be used in everyday life. Some of those include problem-solving, reading information for understanding, communication, angles, and cause and effect (of course there are other benefits).
